Hello There!

My name is Michael Klisch, I recently graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in May 2020 majoring in Communication Design with a dual concentration in Illustration and Graphic Design. Before I became a Kutztown student, I studied fine arts at Montgomery County Community College for two years and then graduated in May 2018 where I received my Associates Degree.

I have a lot of experience with Adobe software programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. My strong background with digital painting as well as my experience with the Wacom Tablet and Pen have helped me improve my illustrative designs and conceptual thinking skills throughout my college career.

I have participated in the Mumedi Museum of Design’s “To Death with a Smile” international poster competition with my peers and other participants around the world. As a result, my design got some recognition and was declared as a finalist in the competition. Some of my artistic work has been distributed in group exhibitions such as Kutztown’s Blood, Sweat, and Illustration in Spring 2020 and the Visual Essay gallery opening in Fall 2019.

My life as a student has made me a responsible, reliable, and dedicated worker who plans ahead to complete tasks on time and properly. To support this, I’ve made the Dean’s list all four semesters at Montgomery County Community College as well as my Fall and Spring 2019 semesters at Kutztown. Furthermore, I even received the honor to become a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society during my time at Montgomery County Community College. Everything that I have learned from my classes, professors and peers has helped me become a highly experienced creative designer as well as a devoted and well-respected person.
